I could look at ensuring that the parks are safe, clean, no litter, no graffiti, that play equipment works properly, which play area are you interested in Radford? Is it the one on Radford Common?

There aren’t any plans to build new play areas in Radford at the moment. I know there was a big play area put in on the grass at the junction of Radford Rd and Beake Ave a few years back, and the last time I went past it still looked good.
What we need is for people like you to tell us what is needed – is there things that need to be repaired? Is there problems with crime and vandalism? Are play areas being taken over by older people who scare younger ones away? Email me and let me know what it is that you think needs doing and I’ll see what I can do.

Not sure if any of the parks listed below are near you but this is whats planned so far.
Over the next 12 months we will be improving a further 12 play areas. These will be: War Memorial Park, Caludon Park, Longford Park, Holbrook Park, Red House Park, Edgwick Park, Gosford Green, Coundon Hall Park, Whitley Common and Morris Common. Also there will be new play facilities in Spon End and on the former City Farm site.

I know that the park on Radford common was improved about 18 months ago and that a new park was put in when Daimler green was built.

There will be opportunities for local people to be involved in the design process, especially children and young people.
